For most of us, as we process through the feelings of events and past transgressions we are left with a lightness, an expanded feeling that we are now more than we were just moments before. This my friends is "Change." The active part of growth, I hear so many people saying they "want" change, but alas are they ready and willing to change.
The place to start is with our minds. It seems to be the scariest place for most of us to begin, thoughts of; "will I be able to change? I don't "know" anything else! I couldn't possibly, could I?"
This issue's submissions address all of these questions and more, our hope is that you'll find the comfort to affect the changes you desire and choose in your life so they can transcend in peace, love and joy.
We would like to welcome Victoria Christian, as our featured cover artist.
Her work Toward the Light shows us how focused quiet time maybe our key to listen for the messages coming into our awareness. To give us the time to actively integrate them into our being and as Ghandi stated "To be the change you want to see in the World." There is a special On The Cover section (page 12) with an article that Victoria has submitted, "Feminine Mysticism in Art: Artists Envisioning the Devine," where she not only shares herself but the work of other very talented artists. Thank you Victoria.
As spring approaches, keep at heart the many offerings that you'll find. Spring Wellness Fairs, the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce Wellness Fair on April 9th this year (see the back cover for details) always a very cool experience. Psychic fairs, new classes, trips all over the world, who would have thought years ago we would be looking to do Yoga on a boat, or meditation in the jungle?
Keep checking in to see what is new and exciting. I promise, as humans, we
will continue to come up with the very best that our lives have to offer.
Within our lives there is a new unfolding taking place and a story to share. A short while ago we were blessed to connect with Tunji Somma, the owner of the Chatham Medical Building, in our town of East Hampton. At the time of our meeting he was three and a half years into the process of actualizing his vision of a holistically minded medical arts center. His plans included the addition of a new building and the total renovation of the existing building to accommodate new tenants. This vision also included the structures being built and renovated following the certified "green" building standards. After our first meeting and the sharing of our vision we realized the synchronicity of the moment.
With his encouragement and support of our community we are experiencing the opportunity to open a center as part of the Chatham Medical Office Park. The Center named "A Simple Truth" will be opening late this year or early in 2012.
The love for the journal that you have all shared with us has enabled us to make this commitment to the community, to continue the journal in a more expansive way, reaching so many more people, it is light, joy filled and exciting to see this all unfold and to connect with the many community members who are stepping into their own expressions of self to bring our world to a new level
of lightness. We will keep the updates coming. We are blessed to serve so many.
We look forward not only to offer people the forum for expression through the journal, but also the physical location for that expression in classes, offerings and access to practitioners from everywhere.
Be well these next few months and remember that traveling at the speed of light takes awareness and the ability to stay connected.
