This issue's title is Emergence, what are we emerging from? For some of our writers it is trauma, for some a long gestation, a metamorphosis a re-birth of our inner self. Finally, I've been waiting for the chance to stretch my wings! I've been waiting for the opportunity to leave this tight cocoon and see the world! I've been waiting... I've been waiting... So the wait is over my friends. We are emerging and we can't deny it.
So if we "have to" emerge, and for some of us it will be a have to situation, let's make the best of this transition. Let's let everyone know that we are ok. That in the face of ourselves we are ok to see what was, but to imagine and embrace what can be. Yes, imagine, because we haven't been this new and possibly improved human before. I know that I haven't lived the wonder filled moments that lie ahead! And if it is anything like the past 20 years I don't know if I would try to put the energy into "trying" to image who I might be, whoa.
I continue to hear that "we are the answer that we have been waiting for!" I know that through my life's journey the only way my information comes in is through willingness, openness, acceptance, honesty, faith and believing that what I can't see is as real as what I can, that my feelings are my guides to the good, the bad and sometimes the beautiful. That I am loved and supported no matter what, no matter who I am, no matter what I do... From a place of “no matter.” Beyond the physical world we live in. Beyond the physical manifestation of a place that has no matter or structure. Just the open, vast feeling of expansion and what I would call love.
That place is real, it does exist and is within each of us, that is why we are ok in the face of ourselves. Take everything you've learned about yourself, everything you know yourself to be, love it for the gift that it is and emerge into something different, without knowing what it is, without knowing how to be, I promise that you'll be ok even if personality doesn't like it.
We do have our own answers, we do have the ability to love ourselves, to be and care for our own inner landscape if we choose. So as the messages get louder and the opportunities continue to present, let's see what it is that our inner landscape has to contribute to each event in the world as it is happening.
Our prayers and love are with everyone. There are so many people struggling with needing just the basics for life. Some really interesting prayer groups and circles have been started. James Twyman is leading one of the largest and many people are creating and offering local community gatherings. Please participate. Be a walking meditation of peace, love and support.
This is our last issue before we embark (sounds like we are going on a cruise) on our tenth year of publication. The journal continues to grow in the support that it gifts to all and the gift of support that it receives touches my heart in so many ways.
I would like to thank all the people who are a part of our community, your love and support has enabled us to do what we truly love. There are so many people who give their time and energy in writing, distributing, proofing and reading Inner Tapestry and our advertisers who share their patience with me during a very full and busy schedule. Thank you.
Check out the back cover, display ads and calendar of events, we have some exciting gatherings of holistic practitioners this spring in all of the New England states. Opportunities to explore and share yourself with others can be found on the pages of this issue, come explore your emergence.
